Joni Maya Oye-Benintende and Robin Dintiman
AFA’s first floor gallery will feature work from two different artists, Joni Maya Oye-Benintende and Robin Dintiman. Oye-Benintende’s ceramic work “centers around the conscious, unconscious, and cultural forces which shape thought and spirituality.” A theme that is consistent throughout each of her series is solitude. Dintiman’s body of work includes both two and three-dimensional pieces. Her photogravure prints and sculptures reflect nature and its “intense physicality.”
This exhibition will be on display from July 31 until August 30. There will be an opening reception on First Friday, August 1 from 6 to 9 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. AFA Gallery is open Thursday through Saturday from noon to 5 pm.

The Genesis Myths – Win Forman
AFA’s second floor gallery will host a posthumous exhibition of Win Forman. This exhibition will feature his series titled The Genesis Myths. Forman’s ceramic plates depict different cultures’ ideas of the creation of mankind. Each plate was thrown on a potter’s wheel, bisque fired and then glazed with an original illustration. The exhibition will feature a sample of the body of work. He created 188 plates in total.
This exhibition will be on display from July 31 until August 30. There will be an opening reception on First Friday, August 1 from 6 to 9 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. AFA Gallery is open Thursday through Saturday from noon to 5 pm.
