Maria Grzybowski - Red ParrotMaria Grzybowski
Maria Grzybowski is a painter who specializes in acrylic, working in an imaginary realism style. Her work focuses on nature themes, particularly a study of animals. She thinks about the interdependency of all creatures, the overbearing presence of technology in our society, and the absence of nature from our daily lives.  Because the creatures are absent from our lives they have created their own mysterious universe that we are unaware of. Her current work also strives to show a tweaking of nature- abnormalities and unsettling relationships between objects and creatures. She draws inspiration from travel, art history and children’s storybook illustration.
