The heat was on at July’s First Friday’s Scranton, but not even an Axel Foley banana could keep people from coming out to celebrate the arts in downtown Scranton. The streets swelled with people looking for some holiday entertainment. They weren’t disappointed. A series of talented artists and performers matched the heat and crowds and with their own brand of cool, introspective visual art and rhythmic beats.
Perspective was the key as artists at participating venues brandished their point of views with practiced care and deft hands. The artwork acted as a great starting point for most people who sought out a social atmosphere and there was plenty to interact with and talk about.
