FFS-3---September-2012Scranton Gallery Hosts Free Darkroom Day

Digital Photographers Need Not Apply

New Visions Studio & Gallery, located at 201 Vine St. in downtown Scranton is opening their photography darkroom to the public on Saturday February 9th from 12pm to 6pm. Space is limited and usage will be on a first come first serve basis. During this free darkroom day, analog photographers can come develop film and make prints in the darkroom at no cost to them. Normally a day rental of New Visions darkroom costs $14.99, which is an amazing deal in itself. Any photographer or darkroom hobbyist may use New Visions darkroom, but it is required that they have training and experience working in a darkroom and have knowledge of the process. For those who have never worked in a darkroom, individual or group rate classes are offered to teach the skills to anyone ages 14 and up. New Visions darkroom has everything that is needed; the facility includes a four-enlarger set-up, with capabilities of film size from 35mm up to 4×5 and print size up to 16×20.
